Tom Rockliff
Just heard that Tom Rockliff kicked five goals and gathered 40 possessions in the Queensland State League, after gathering 30+ touches last week. If he doesn't play this week, its a joke!!!!

a) it was 40 posessions
b) it was 7 goals not 5
c) I do agree with you TH. QAFL is a fair step back from VFL, SANFL and WAFL.
d) Despite these facts however they were playing the runner up from last year and in the QAFL and brisbane only have a maximum number of listed players they can use. The rest of the numbers are topped up from the Sunshine Coast under 18 team or something like that. Its the reason the lions don't trounce everyone in the QAFL (only 1 premiership)
e) I got to watch a fair bit of that game and he was extremely good. A very natural footballer who is starting to develop the engine to go at AFL level. Reads the play so well and is always in the right spot. His judgement of flight is exceptional. Should come in for buchanan i would think this week.

Ok Fat your pretty sold on him but would you trade him in after the next 2 games, would be a little early to off load a Gumby or Hitchcock, although the later may have JS issues with Motlop due in maybe 2.
Podsy is another that could be in the same boat if he kicks a bag this week!
4 games for a cash cow a little early for me but am not sure what will come up down the track rd 6-8???
There aint much out there, mabe Lucus from the blues, he's a forward I think?

Re: Tom Rockliff
sorry didn't mean my comments above to reflect what I will do about him.
I don't have in in my team - direct result of my no non round 1 playing rookies.
I think he will get about 2-3 games tops before buchanan comes in. then his place in the team will be entirely dependent on match ups and form.
unfortunately his timing of getting a run is pretty bad and I won't be trading a hitchcock or gumby for him unless he plays 2 games has a 3-4 game rest and comes back in again, which he may very well do.
Forwards look a bit thin at the moment for downgrades but someone always pops up and puts their hands up. Trent Dennis Lane is a bit of a forgotten figure in this, he may pop up at the right time this year.
