Re: mattybomb22's team
Henderson played back at the lions. might take time to develop as a key forward for the blues. should play a couple of games though.
raines risky but has the potential to score well.
black getting a bit old and with more mids coming into the lions team, scores might dip a bit.
clark might be playing more CHF or CHB if leu and charman make the 22. maybe put an extra 40k to get sandi imo.
bradshaw is cheap but might not score that much as sydney aren't known to score alot with their game plan. also over 30 and body might not last the entire season.
rookies will change after the nab cup. don't like the collingwood rookies and maybe put in podaisly (not sure about the spelling) instead of weston.

Re: mattybomb22's team
Thx dom. I think I'll keep blacky just cause he can be a game changer but I will change Clarkie to Sandi. Also just wanted to raise my bat for my century of posts. The youngest and probably least helpful to make it so far

I'm not a fan of Raines either - burnt a few last year I think!
Not sure about Henderson - as Dom mentioned.
There's prol a few better Rookies that could be in there as well. Check out Roach's article on Rookies.
Other than that pretty good.

Re: mattybomb22's team
pretty good team, I won't go through all of it but I think you should have gia instead of higgins. With the introduction of hall you could see how much gia was freed up and latched on to the opportunity. Bulldogs players will score high this year

Re: mattybomb22's team
see a few issues
1. goodes - will take time to adjust to his new role - would wait till mid season when he's about $500K and pick him up then. Plenty more good mids for a bit less - Mitchell looked good on the weekend and with Hodge in the mids may not get the first tag either.
2. rioli - mention of OP at the moment no guarantee for first round.
3. Wona - think he will come back via vfl personally
4. Morabito - looked a little out of his depth - think Trengrove will get more game time.
5. Waite - hmmmm coming back from injury could be a little underdone to start the season
by no means a bad team but some food for thought

Re: mattybomb22's team
depends if you think he can back up his break out year. still pretty young (22 or 23) with a great boot so could drift his average backwards. also a little talk about teams trying to tag him (like gilbee was last year to a great effect in shutting him down).
for me i would get hurn over heath. heath can't handle the tag and i doubt will play alot of mids. even if he does, can't cope with a tag (if he gets one with swan there). hurn got plenty of room to grow while i think heath is close to his max.
pretty good team.
don't like raines. great player but gets injured a bit too often.
agree with fatcat on goodes. will come down a bit until he can settle into his new place.

Re: mattybomb22's team
Very nice team! The second one is definetly the stronger team. I
can see you have researched it well.

Re: mattybomb22's team
Question marks over starting Rockliff and Waters on the field.
Rockliff has had good pre season from but you cannot rely on him while
waters hasn`t played a 16 plus games season in years. You`ll need more backup on the
defensive bench.

Re: mattybomb22's team
Goddard and Ablett are injured and won`t play until round 3.
I heard this from the medicos at Geelong and St. Kilda. I`ve had
to change my team after hearing this too.
