Midfield benchies
Ok so Im torn for my bench rookies and need opinions on who will play more games early, make more money.
I have 3 starting rookies on the field (Trengove, Martin and Barlow) and am limitet to 100k rookies for the last two spots
Who out of:
1.Shuey, looks to have job security
2.Kaler Thompson, Hawks injuries helps him
3.Banner, looks good but has bad job security
4.Bastnic, missed NAB games early but sound like a gun
I must add Ive been on the piss in Bali on an end of season footy trip and have no idea which rookies have been evevated
Opinions?

Re: Midfield benchies
you might like to consider Lewis Jetta from the Swans..but i guess thats outside your 100k limit but having a 4th ruck is a non position in my view 1 option would be to put a real cheapie there to raise some funds and jus keep Warnock as the 3rd option.. Lobbe there for emergency i don't believe is that critical unda MPP..just another idea to look at...Cheers

2 words, Ben Howlett! A mature aged rookie who starred in the SANFL i believe and earned best and fairest for his club Peel! Wins his own ball and can find the footy and he is playing round one, get on him

My thoughts exactly fatcat. Bench options at this stage would be Barlow, Shuey or Bastinac. JKT is a risk even if named as he will probably make way for more senior players like Howlett will.

Absolutly on the money boonie, I have Barlow on field and shuey and bastinac on the bench. Bastinac at 94k is great value and will play a lot of games this year, and shuey the fact that he is going to be named round 1 makes him a lock for me. That's right a lock on the bench I believe since west coast have no-one of the INJURY LIST. The fact that he is picked means he is in their best 22 because all players are available which means a big season for the young bloke I reckon.

My gut says the same Pear, I am just worried Daziel may push him out, what do you think?
I like the point you make that no one is injured though and Woosha is picking his best 22 you would think
Im down to Jetta, Shuey and Bastinic in that order, I feel Bastinic will be involved in many rotations as they have many of the same type of young midfield type

Re: Midfield benchies
Fair enough Jetta looks good also this year, skinny frame however so I hope for your sake he can consistently do well against strong bodies. Dalziell is an interesting one, I think he is in their best 22 but I just get the feeling Shuey is going to take his chance. Plus dalziell is injury prone so there will be an opportunity there and also not one injury which means if there is any injuries my bet is he will be back in there straight away. I hope Dalziell doesn't ruin my plans this year like last year when I had him and he injured himself forcing a trade I didn't plan.

Well Bastinac got a similar score so your safe. I knew they would both do well, trengove is off to the bench next round, he needs to sit down and think about what he has done. Very impressed with my mid bench.

I'm with you DoP, but who to bring on? Shuey(v Port) or Basti(v StK)? Depending on how Barlow goes, may bring them both on.. Mind you.. Barlow v Ess and Martin v WBD next week.. Decisions, decisions... but it's a good problem to have really!

Re: Midfield benchies
Dont write Trengove off yet, he faced a fitter and rampaging Hawks! Look at who each is playing next week, but Eagles will be at home so a good chance Shuey makes his debut for me on the field as well
