After a fair bit of wondering where the next batch of downgrades would come from to enable those final additions to the team, along comes Worsfold and realises that their season is down the toilet and time to give some of his young kids a go.

steppping up to bat are

Starting
Andrew Strijk
Koby Stevens

Extended Bench
Ashley Smith

so question is who is in a situation where they really need a downgrade in the backs this week to get some cash? Will you take a punt on Strijk. Good player who picked up about 36 possies in the wafl last week. Will job security be a factor for people? Or will most not even care with Maguire about 4 weeks away (maybe) and coming back to be solid backup. thoughts? Who's rolling the dice.

Koby Stevens had 35 possies for Est Perth last week so he`d be the first player i`d get. He priced
at just $94,200 too. Very Happy

only issue is he is a mid which i'm sure most people have traded their cash cows in already

backs and forwards are where i would see most people needing to cash in a cow but there have been few options so far

In backline there is T.Hunt, R.Henderson and also Roberton from freo. Roberton has a breakeven of -80 but will job security be an issue as I am looking at him for Maguire?

yes job security will be the issue for Roberton with harvey saying he expects about 7 players back from injury post break

but still an option.

Hunt will barely get another game or two, henderson not so sure.

All are a gamble i just know that Strijk is a mature age rookie defender from the WAFL in a team that know they're out of the final hunt and will be looking to play their youngsters.... sound familiar anyone (in case you didn't put it together Greg Broughton anyone?) not saying he will be that good, actually i seriously doubt it, but the signs are promising.

never said he would be as clearly stated, just said it was a coincidence of circumstances.
