Podsy or Rockcliff,

I was leaning towards Rockliff but I'm not so sure of JS with a few Lions not far away, Buchanan, Black, Adcock, Stiller and Sheldon.

How many of these will come straight in?

And I think there is no way they can drop Podsy on his stats and form, he is also rock bottom price of 83k, I think Hawkins will be on the chopping block!

could i swap duncan $210 for him. It would give me a 127 onto my 196 to equal 323.

why???

its too early to cash in any cash cows. Only reason to do that would be if Duncan went out of the team for Max Rooke. Unlikely to get back in then

As much as I didn't want to use up a trade this week, if Hitchy is dropped he may have to go.
I think I'll be leaning towards Pods

Did not consider Clarke and Mcgrath

In the Mix:
Ruckman Mitch Clark and defender Ash McGrath deserve automatic recalls from suspension, but whether there's room for them in a winning line-up is the decision facing coach Michael Voss. Consider too that Matthew Leuenberger coped well on his own against the Bulldogs' big men, and Melbourne should only field Mark Jamar this week. Veteran midfielder Simon Black (calf) is only a slim chance of playing this week, however Irishman Pearce Hanley is edging closer despite the reserve side's struggles.

hawksley out for mcgrath, selwood for clark are the two changes that will be most likely.

if black gets up i would say proud or polks would be first to go

still his job security isn't the greatest but then again neither is pods. Will be a tough call that I hopefully won't have to make

Just read that Hartlett will stake strong claims this week, so it could be Hitchy with the knife at his throught!

Hey guys, sorry if this is a bit daft but I don't see that much difference between trading Hitchcock for Pods/Rock, or trading Roberts for one of 'em. I know that there is a 70k profit in it but apart from that it still seems like a rookie to rookie, blown trade. Hitchcock Vs. Relton in regards to job security is very even IMO.

chances of roberts getting back in is higher than hitchcock. From memory the advice I gave not to can roberts was partly because of number of trades already done.
but roberts really will be back in but with hartlett and motlop to come back in if he goes he will be unlikely to come back in. hartlett my cash cow in the forwards personally so may have to can him If he doesn't play

yeah that's fair enough, wasn't tying to be a nit picker. There's a lot of conflicting opinions out there in supercoach land, yours is one I respect fatcat so gotta play a bit of devils advocate considering I got Relton and hitchcock.

Yep I am gona hold off, might look at Davis next if Hitchy is another no show.

Last year I traded out Taylor Walker when he got dropped for Macaffer . Walker played again and Macaffer never played again after his second game!

Ran out of trades and carried 2 donuts into my GF and got smashed by 200pts

Dont need a playing no9 ATM

I did trade Pods into my dreamteam for Warren though and he's on the park, but my dreamteam team is just a mickey mouse team. SC is where the real game is! Very Happy

This is an extremely rare occurrence that i disagree with Fatcat, Your reasoning is perfectly logical and has as much chance of being correct as my theory but this is what i think.

Roberts: I traded him out for Pods because he has shown an inability to score even reasonably and he couldn't get back in the team with so many changes. I agree he will be back but it might be a few more weeks yet, also when he is back will he score over 30? Probably, but he will take a long time to come on. With Gumbleton and Hitchcock in my team i already have two slow burners in the forward line so i needed a high scoring F7 that can gain me cash and Pods fills that role nicely so far. Yes i burn a trade but that trade should net me $200k and about 30ppg over the next 5 or 6 rounds (180 points). Its probably below par for a trade but i just cant have an $83k player sitting on the bench not playing for 4 or 5 weeks. To me Roberts is not a good cash cow OR good bench cover because he simply cannot score (going by only two games) so he has no place in the team.

Hitchcock: I was very interested to see he was listed as injured (back) and not just omitted, this could be all bullshit but it adds a twist. Williams reportedly loves Hitchcock so for mine he will get more games and reasonably quickly, can score more than Roberts therefore should gain cash quicker and give better bench cover.

It will be interesting to see how it all pans out over the next 6 rounds but there is EVERY chance that Hitchcock wont return, Pods will get dropped and Roberts will return and start knocking out 100's.

Proibably a good call Bonnie, I have not had to cross that bridge with Roberts, interesting to see the hype around Podsy and Rockliff, and as predicted Rockliff did not back it up with alot of people starting him.

As the Fat has stated rookies will always trickle through and we now have the likes of Davis +80 average on the bubble and Fyfe who knocked out a nice tonne with something like 10 score involvements. Job security is the issue though.

I will be in a pickle this week with Davis on the bubble as he would really suit my forward bench as I have Waite down back. It would give me a huge advantage being able to MPP swap them over and get Maguire on the park if I so wish to do so!!! With Danger No7 and Waters No7 it would give me great flexability when Forwards or Backs miss!

The issue is Gumby and Hitchy may still have more to offer

Thoughts???

Yeah the whole MPP is a tough one, If you think Davis deserves to be picked in his own rights then get him. If your just getting him for MPP i think thats not a good idea. Certainly if you think Davis can continue scoring well it is well worth it as it will give you great flexibility. I am in the same boat but i think il let it sail...
