What improvments should i make to my team this week?
Defence:
Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Goodwin, Kennelly, Hayden,Drummond, Maguire, Nason.

Midfielders:
Dal Santo, Selwood, Mitchell, Trengrove, Martin, Bastinac, Barlow, Morabito.

Ruckman:
Hille, Warnock.

Forwards:
Riewoldt, Pavlich, Harvey, Hall, Ziebell, Medhurst, Waite, Duncan, Rockliff.

All ideas appreciated!

is it worth downgrading goodwin to get a better ruckman?

My one crucial piece of advice is this: Make sure you have 9 defenders, this will really help your chances.

come on bonnie doon thirds. you only have 4 possible trades before
the prices go up and down so we should at least do something this week.

Something has to be done about your rucks IMO. Maybe not this week but seriously your number 1 is a big man coming back from a long term knee injury and your 2nd is Warnock who should be on the bench. Hille an average score of 53 and is now suspended, you might actually think about trading him this week as odd as that sounds to a lot of the other people on here but I think this is one example of where something should be done this week. If Hille is suspended you are already coping a donut if you have no cover, the only cover being Trengrove.

suprisingly enought i agree with yopu defeater of pear. I have 330 to spent so i am think
seaby or maybe renouf because he is hawthorns only ruckman. probly seaby.

is it worth waiting until after round 3 till when clark will be cheaper and buying him. I can get
the extra cash from other positions.

and then another 20 weeks to sit there and go why the hell did I just throw away 4 trades that I didn't need to make. Don't get me wrong I've got nothing against doing a bit of trading at the end of the second week but it would only be the 2 trades that week max and only if i had an LTI or long suspension.

However if hille is going to be out for a while i wouldn't blame you for doing the one trade to get him out however i would cop the donut (if you don't have cover) and wait to see if any of the higher priced ruckman drop after an indifferent start to the season.

Looking at your team you've got a couple of structural issues there that I think are going to hurt you in the long run regardless of how you trade. However i wouldn't be trading Goodwin, once you buy a prem you don't trade them out unless they're out for 4-6 weeks or more. otherwise why did you pick them in the first place

just a waste of a trade.

Unfortunately you ran the gauntlet in the rucks to get more prem down back and up front from the look of it. I know its tough but think you'll have to wear a bit of pain in this area at the moment and maybe a donut for a week or two with hille but at the end of the day he will increase in price, it will just take a while.

Just sit back and hope your prems you bought come through for you.

It is an interesting one, do you have cover for Hille? And how much are you going to have to shuffle your team just to include Clarke who I don't think is going to have as bigger impact as last year. I would pick either Seaby or nicnat or if u want to shuffle get Kreuzer in by round 3, 80k cheaper than clark and I believe will avg. more come season end.

So true, Hold tight with your premiums, never trade them out because of form especially one weeks form.

So really your plan is working. You have saved money in the ruck area allowing you to pump more coin into FWD and DEF which has resulted in a good score. To be honest i think you have to ride out the storm. If you trade a premium out now to get a premium ruck its just shifting points from one spot on the ground to another and wasting a trade in the process.

Is it worth getting rid of Charman for Trengrove and then getting Waters for Nason.

having some extra cover at the back could be handy with Kennely 50/50 to play
in round 2.

Why the hell would you trade a rookie that played round 1 before rd 2, this is crazy thinking as you have cover in Maguire, are these serious posts or are you just winding us up?

Certainly look at Charman though, not sure how long he is gone for but doubt he would get a game with Lurenburg fit! If you have the cash upgrade him to a Prem ruck and put Warnock on the bench like 99% of teams have already!

Charman is: $159,300.

there is noone in that range, other than Warnock ($132,200 @ 47), Trengove ($100,200 @ 42) worth mentioning, unfortunatly

Any idea when Lobbe (PA) will get a run?

I am tipping Lobbe will get a run 2nd half of the season when injuries suspensions and the like are at their peak, you should only have Lobbe really if you are thinking of using it as MPP which I am, might save a trade later on down the track. Should be the 4th ruck with Warnock 3rd.

The only thig I can think of to help you out charlo is wait and look at all your premiums and see who is having a real stinker and is going to drop a heap of cash. Look to downgrade that one to a rookie or cheapie who is going to rise a heap ie: Hitchcock, Dangermouse, Yarrin??? Maybe Waters down back, this would free up some cash as well as make you some cash on the way to fix your ruck, but dont look at this play until next week.

Never trade sideways if players are playing, you gain no cash, no better a player and it cost you a trade

charlo don't worry about warnock IMO he will get better with the more games he plays save your trades till round 7 cash a cow(200k), warnock price(@300k) should go up cox's or another premium(500k) ruck might go down and then you follow the same procedure for the next 5-6 rounds on players your not happy with then with some luck with injuries you smash it into the finals.
