Who is interested in the 2010 League?

Just thought I would open interest for the 2010 Superroach Supercoach Super League. We are looking at two leauges if we can get 32 players which im sure we can with friends and what not. We will have two leagues 1st and 2nd Division.

The leauges will both have prizes. If you are in 1st division it costs $20 to enter with the prize $320 for the grand final winner.
In 2nd division it is $10 to enter with a prize of $160 for the winner.

For 2010 the roach will give any doners (those that donate to the roach see donation page) priority on their prefered league 1st or 2nd division. Then The Roach will put the leauges together depending on your 2009 overall score. The top 16 scores will be in division 1. If you are in division 1 and come in the bottom three at the end of 2010, you will be relegated to 2nd division in 2011. If you are in division 2 and come in the top three of your league in 2010, you will be promoted in 2011 to 1st division.

If you are interested or have any comments reply in this topic and I will start to put toggether some numbers.

I am interested muchly I really want to know who the top 16 in overall ranking is. If I got in the top 10k reckon I'd be safe Roachie?

I was keen, Personally i don't like the idea of "donor priority". Don't get me wrong i am more than happy to donate but my idea for this league was to get a strong group of supercoachers together to challenge the top 20 leagues. If any muppet can simply donate and get in division one it defeats the purpose. No point having guys who average 1700 per week representing your site in division one Roachie.

I know this sounds like a whinge but i was hoping to create a league of really strong players so we could challenge the top 20 leagues..

Bonnie- as it stands there are only 2 doners at the moment. Agreco & myself. As you know, most of the year I have been ranked in the top 100 overall in my first year ( sound like I am blowing my own trumpet here !), can't predict where I will finish but I am confident I will be a strong player next year. Don't know Agreco's ranking but from his posts that I have read he understands the game very well so would expect a strong showing from him next year. I take your point than any muppet can donate, get in division 1 so I guess some more guidelines may be needed. Roachie will have to use some discretion &/or have a cut off point ranking to qualify for division 1. Say need to finish in top 10,000 overall, be a regular user ( ie have done 50 posts or more) & considered a valued member of the superroach forum from the advice/ tips given by that member throughout the course of the year. What are your & other members thoughts on that?

I think u make good point boonie and dav, but the good thing about it is we have along time to work out the guidelines for next season, but yes i think more guidlines need to be set as opposed to just a donor. Top 10000 is a good start i think.

Yeah i like that idea Dav, I am certainly not suggesting that you or Agreco are not good enough to be in Div 1, I just think if you have to be a donor to be in Div 1 it defeats the purpose. Having said all this i might not even qualify

yep PayPAl the best way. Also boys have changed my nick from agreco to The Wulf, thought it was cooler. My overall rank is 12,467 which is good considering i have had a horrer injury run, i expect to finish well unDER 10,000 THOUGH I HAVE A GOOD SQUAD,

i also agree a little with the doner thing we want all good players, I am sure the roach will work something out though probably have tb be in top 10,000 to get in.

Nice squad Wulf, If the saints plane crashes your team is f***d :p I guess if you are going to have a lot of players from one team it may as well be the best team in the comp.

Ok seems to be a little heated conversation over leaugue which is good people are passionate and interested. Just to make it clear being a doer helps but yes you have to have a good score to qualify. I can probably say now that if we get 16 teams who all get a score under 10,000 then they will probably get in however if there is a member of the forum who contributes all the time and is keen to match it with the big boys and may be between 10-20k they too can be given a chance. At this stage guys just put your hand up for selection and we can discuss it further towrds the end of the season and early next year. In terms of cash and how to pay, paypal is the best way it is secure and your money is safe and re-claimable.

Apart from that we have 2009 to finish off! ha thanks again for the inetrest keep it rolling in from those out there i havnt heard from.

You can buy pre-paid credit cards from most 7/11's and all post offices, one time use, basically a gift card.

You can also apply to your bank for a debit card... it's essentially a credit card tied to your account, so it uses your money, with the added bonus of acting like a credit card, whereas a credit card 'borrows' from the bank.
