Joining a league for round 3
Hi all. Long time listener, 1st time caller.
Just been informed that people can enter their Super Coach teams for round 3 and just sit out the first 2 rounds. You can assess all the rookies and players in for big seasons, then add them in your team for round 3 and you havent wasted any trades. Is this true? Seems a bit unfair if it is.

Yep its true 17, its all about money for the herald and clicks on the site, you can enter a team anytime throughout the year, you just have no chance at the overall prize.
The unfortunate thing is these teams get autoloaded into uncompleted leagues and have the advantage for a league win. We had this problem last year with two spots, two blokes at work did not complete the 30 man squad by rd 1 so thay dropped out at rd3 and we had 2 autofills, one of which finished 3rd. We had cash on the line paying $50 each, it was a work league.
It will happen again this year as one bloke did not complete his team. How hard is it to get a squad in

Thanks for the reply guys. I reckon it stinks that you can sit back in the first 3 rounds then pick your team before the prices go up. What is the advantage of participating in the first couple of rounds?

You basically forfeit your chance and the big prize at the end of the year if you don't start Rnd1, Doesn't matter how good your team is.
