so many injuries
hey guys really struggling with decisions this week, haven't made a trade for a while but think I might have to now. could really use some help!
my team is:
backs: goddard, hodge, malceski, enright, bock, waters, maguire (nason, davis)
mids: ablett, judd, dal, hayes, barlow, boyd (stevenson, shuey)
rucks: sandi, hille (skipper, trengove)
forwards: pavlich, didak, hall, rioli, pods, brown, gray, (gumby, roberts)
11 trades left and $29k in the bank.
I'm obviously going for the win in my main league where I have a particularly easy run home and just out of the top four on % but second on overall points.
Hille is going to stay (for at least the time being). Was gonna trade up Maguire to either Gilbert or Gilbee but Brown going down has put a spanner in the works. Nevertheless, I want to keep Brown for the finals. For some unknown reason I have kept Gray but since he hasn't been named this week I'm fed up and very keen to trade, preferably way up (eg. Chapman).
Does anyone have some suggestions? So many different options, particularly as to who to downgrade - Nason, Davis, Stevenson, Trengove. Would like to hang on to Davis for this week for the loophole.
Or should I just wait on the trades until after the split round??????

Re: so many injuries
yeah, I was gonna do that but with Gray being out for ANOTHER week, and Gumby my only forward cover, I will cop a donut in the forwards. So sick of Gray, want to see the back of him.
Then again, with my easy run home I could possibly afford a donut.

Re: so many injuries
given Gray has had 12 weeks to come good now i would get him out of there too.
If you're a betting man would downgrade Maguire to someone - henderson or maybe strijk if you want to take a punt (nason has a chance of going up a bit more in value soon and is actually playing - also foot issues and staph infections can hang around for quite a while so i wouldn't bank on only a few weeks for things like that)
then take that cash and upgrade Gray

hmmm very interesting... hadn't thought of that, was only going to upgrade maguire. i suppose that with the trades I have I'll be able to upgrade Nason later on instead. risky strategy but could pay off. would you get rid of Gray for Chappy fatcat?

Re: so many injuries
yeah seems like the best choice at this stage however Franklin could be another option and leave chappy for a hall or pods upgrade later in the season.
If you're sitting pretty in the league I would do the franklin one as he will increase in price over the next few weeks. Chappy will remain more stable while hall and pods increase and close the gap cash wise.
will save you money and you shouldn't lose too many points

Re: so many injuries
Gray to Goods or ROK, dont know if you have to downgrade to do this!
11 trades is handy, Nason is good cover ATM! Looks like your problem is finding cash since Shuey is down, I have him too but made cash out of Howlett and hopefully Gysberts!
With 11 trades I would be looking at getting COX personally
